I did a search on my name in Google and discovered that someone had texted in a Cha Cha question of Who Is Alicia Crowder?  Find it here: http://www.chacha.com/question/who-is-alicia-crowder

The person answering had no idea…  Apparently they didn’t feel like typing the name into Google and seeing that 9 out of every 10 search result listings for the name Alicia Crowder tied to me…

But, I was thinking about and thought that perhaps “The Alicia Crowder Blog” in the “About” section ought to cover that topic….answer that question… Who is Alicia Crowder?

It’s strange finding oneself suddenly famous online…  Famous for what though?  Nothing much…just a name, found in many different locations….all tied to writing that I have done. 

Is she a great writer?  Well, now I suppose that would depend upon who you ask.  Most would probably say no.  Some would definitely say yes.  Great enough to have followers.  Great enough at the SEO stuff I do to actually get my clients at the top of Internet search engines by my writing styles and methods alone…  But a critic would look at the writing often and call it simplistic….not pullitzer prize winning material by any means….but then that same critic might look at a separate piece of writing that I have done and swallow their tongue.

The point is that I write.  Who is Alicia Crowder?  She is a writer.  Am I a great writer?  I hold the belief that I become a “great writer” the moment that I believe that I am a great writer.  Do I currently feel that way?  No.  Will I keep you posted and let you know when I do?  The answer to that question is also no.  I will simply continue to feel proud of some of my writing and not so proud of other parts of it, but what I will always be proud of is my personal courage in putting the writing out there.  Allowing the critics to mock and spit.  That is the real triumph.

I will keep writing.  If I am lucky, people and companies will keep paying me to write.  I will keep reading books about writing.  I have read so many thus far.  I will continue to attempt to learn from those I consider to be masters at the art of writing.  I will continue to strive for perfection.  I will never attain it.  The masters have never attained it and thus neither will I.  But nothing more than boredom could be achieved by such an attainment anyway.

Who is Alicia Crowder?

Alicia Crowder is a dreamer, a writer, a self-absorbed prick sometimes, a compassionate contributor of good in the world at other times.  Alicia write a lot….and I mean an enormous amount of ad copy.  She is definitely a copywriter.  Alicia Crowder is also a technical writer and has been for 15 years plus.  Alicia is a poet.  She writes books, both fiction and non-fiction books.

She hopes to always enable learning in others and to always learn from others herself.

Just a writer who has thousands and thousands of links out in the wonderful world of cyberspace.

A prolific writer continuously aspiring to improve and loving that she is able to write for so many other’s benefit every day.
